His, the Exalted’s, statement: {So Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing} is a notification of Allah the Exalted’s sufficiency for His Prophet ﷺ regarding the matter of his enemies. So He sufficed him despite the multitude of their number and their eagerness, and so he found the outcome of His report to be according to what He had reported. And it is similar to His, the Exalted’s, statement: {And Allah will protect you from the people} [Al-Ma’idah: 67], so He protected him from them and guarded him from their harms and their plots. And it is a proof of the soundness of his prophethood; since it is impossible for the outcome of his reports to consistently be found in accordance with what he reported in all his circumstances, unless it is from Allah the Exalted, the Knower of the unseen and the seen; since it is impossible for the outcome of the reports of the conjecturers and the liars to be found according to what they report. Rather, most of their reports are lies and falsehoods whose invalidity becomes apparent to their hearers, and that only happens for them in the anomalous, rare case, if it happens at all.
